Lemony Snicket

Watched Lemony Snicket's 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' this afternoon, which I havn't seen for ages. Was reminded of these amazing animated illustrations for the closing credits of the film. I love the intricate, dark illustrative style, and the fantasy world they create.

I love these spreads from the latest arena homme +, which have the kind of patch-work, scrap-booky feel we are considering for madEup. I also love the way the type is structured on the page, with blocks and lines in opposing directions.
